Advisor Program

Our Advisor Program fosters close, supportive relationships between our students and the faculty.

Each student is paired with a faculty member who will become mentor, advocate, and friend. Advisors offer guidance about scheduling, monitor students’ academic and social progress, provide support and encouragement, and are always willing listeners. Advisees and advisors meet weekly, but interactions also take place informally over dinners out, trips to the movies, or games on the lawn.

Parents and advisors form an important partnership to do whatever is necessary to ensure a student's success. Parents are encouraged to contact their child’s advisor with questions, concerns, or to request updates about life on campus. Advisors often call parents to discuss a grade or to replay a great game moment. Advisors push, nag, praise, and nurture their advisees. The advisor is our students' safe place, the someone on campus who always believes in them.
